Three Brandywine Athletes Earn Final PSUAC Fall Weekly Awards

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – A trio of Penn State Brandywine student-athletes claimed the final fall player of the week awards as men's soccer senior Will Scott-Norris (Wilmington, Del./Mt. Pleasant) earned goalkeeper of the week, volleyball junior Sullivan Stark (Middletown, Del./William Penn) was named setter of the week and sophomore Margot Gargus (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown East) landed volleyball player of the week laurels.

Scott-Norris completed his second shutout of the season on Saturday during the PSUAC Men's Soccer Tournament semifinals, helping Brandywine advance to the championship match. He made two saves to earn his ninth victory of the season.

The top-seeded Lions (15-3) will face No. 3 Hazleton on Wednesday night in State College for the PSUAC Championship. Brandywine is looking for its second-straight title and fourth in the last five years.

Gargus and Stark were instrumental in leading Brandywine to its second PSUAC volleyball crown on Tuesday night at Rec Hall as the Lions bested Fayette 3-0.

During the championship game, Gargus set down three kills and added eight digs. She also tallied 10 kills and six digs in Brandywine's straight-set triumph over Penn State DuBois on Saturday in the conference semifinals.

Stark, who earned her fourth setter of the week award this fall, handed out 23 assists against Fayette, three days after dishing out 35 helpers versus DuBois. She added eight digs and three blocks in the semifinals, while totaling six digs and two blocks during the championship match.

Brandywine will be the No. 8 seed in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association Volleyball Tournament when it begins on Nov. 9 in Virginia Beach, Va.
