Poissant Earns Second USCAA All-American Award

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va.  -- For the second-straight season, Penn State Brandywine senior Nikki Poissant (Aston, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) was named United States Collegiate Athletic Association Second Team All-American last week.

The first two-time all-American in Brandywine volleyball history, Poissant earned Penn State University Athletic Conference Player of the Year honors for the second time this fall, while earning her fourth all-conference award.

In 31 matches during her senior season, Poissant ranked in the top 20 in the USCAA in both kills and aces. She totaled 285 kills, the top mark on the team and third-highest total in the conference, while adding 62 aces, tied for the 14-best total nationally.

Poissant also recorded 217 digs, reaching double figures eight times during the season. She tallied at least 10 kills in nearly half of the team's games, including an 18-kill effort that tied her career high in a 3-1 victory over Delaware Valley on Sept. 8.

During her career, Poissant helped Brandywine win conference championships in 2015 and 2017 as the team went unbeaten in conference play each season. In 113 matches, Poissant totaled 925 digs, 912 kills, 314 assists and 255 service aces.
