Tyler Runs To PSUAC Weekly Accolade

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine freshman Anya Tyler (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) was selected as the runner of the week by the Penn State University Athletic Conference on Tuesday.

Tyler just missed breaking her own school 6K record when she completed the Inter-Regional Border Battle hosted by Rowan University with a time of 25:30. Her time of 25:20 at the DeSales Invitational on Oct. 8 stands as the program record. During the women's open race, Tyler placed 84th in the field of 167.

Through six meets this fall, Tyler owns the top four 6K times in program history along with the top two 5K marks. She set the school record in the 5K at her first-ever collegiate race at the Bryn Mawr Invitational on Sept. 1.

Brandywine cross country has one final regular-season meet on Friday at Haverford prior to the PSUAC Championships on Oct. 29 at Penn State Mont Alto.
