Lions Run At Abington Invitational

HUNTINGDON VALLEY, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine men's and women's cross country teams continued their fall campaigns at the Penn State Abington Invitational on Saturday morning. Both squads competed as individuals at the meet.

One week after taking 11th at the Cheyney Invitational, A'Nasia Love (Trenton, N.J./Trenton Central) bested that position by placing sixth. She posted a time of 25:42 on the 5K women's course.

Brooke Theveny (Glen Mills, Pa./Garnet Valley) completed the meet in 29:52 to take 19th overall.

Topping the Brandywine men on the 8K course was David Fielding (West Chester, Pa./Salesianum), who finished eighth in a time of 33:03. Luke Dixon (Wayne, Pa./Radnor) placed 23rd by running the course in 40:24, while Brendan Cleary (Chadds Ford, Pa./Garnet Valley) ran to 29th with a time of 46:19.

Brandywine will run against conference competition on Saturday, Sept. 23 at Penn State Mont Alto's mid-season meet at Norlo Park.
