PSUAC Names Dwayne Coleman Player Of The Week

MEDIA, Pa. -- The Penn State University Athletic Conference announced that Penn State Brandywine sophomore Dwayne Coleman (Philadelphia, Pa./Delaware Valley Charter) has been selected as the men's basketball player of the week on Tuesday.

Coleman recorded a double-double, his third of the season, during Saturday's 80-65 road victory at Penn State Schuylkill. He coupled a season-best 21 points on 9-of-12 shooting with 10 rebounds. Seven of those boards came on the offensive end of the floor.

Of his 21 points, 10 came in the final five minutes of the second half as Coleman helped the Lions secure their third PSUAC victory. He also blocked a season-best three shots in 30 minutes of action.

Through nine games, Coleman ranks fourth in the PSUAC in total rebounding (8.7 rpg) and is second in offensive boards, grabbing 3.8 per outing. He is also averaging 9.3 points per game, good for fourth on the team, and is tied for the conference lead with 12 blocked shots.

Brandywine (5-4, 3-2 PSUAC) looks to win its third-straight game Wednesday night when it visits Williamson College of the Trades at 7:00 pm.
