Brandywine Names Ryan Caris Head Tennis Coach

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine Director of Athletics Bobbi Caprice announced the hiring of Ryan Caris as the Lions' new head men's and women's tennis coach on Thursday.

Caris, a former assistant coach at Brandywine, spent the 2019 season with the Lions' tennis squads. He helped the men's team post a record of 8-3 against NCAA Division III competition, while aiding the Brandywine women in a pair of victories during his time on campus.

A graduate of Elizabethtown College, Caris was a four-year member of the Blue Jays' men's tennis team. He earned his bachelor's degree in communications from Elizabethtown in 2018.

Prior to enrolling at Elizabethtown, Caris was a tennis standout at nearby Sun Valley High School. During his scholastic career, he set the Sun Valley tennis record for Ches-Mont League victories.
