Foeldes Named Finalist For Athlete Crush College Impact Award

MEDIA, Pa. -- Recent Penn State Brandywine graduate Julie Foeldes (Kendall Park, N.J./South Brunswick) was added to the shortlist of finalists for the College Impact Award, announced by Athlete Crush.

Athlete Crush awards include three honors: the Catalyst Award, which Foeldes is a finalist for, is given to individuals who takes initiative to make a change within their community; the Lead Award, which is given to the athlete who consistently displays all the qualities of a good leader; and the Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) Award, which is given to someone who has done something just out of their good nature.

Foeldes was instrumental in bringing Team IMPACT to campus this spring as Brandywine's four-time champion softball squad adopted a local student as the newest member of its team. Team IMPACT is a non-profit organization that connects children facing serious and chronic illnesses with collegiate athletic teams. The mission of Team IMPACT is to improve the quality of life for those children through the power of team.

During her time on campus, Foeldes also worked with the Big Brother/Big Sister program and volunteered with Media Youth Softball.

Fan voting will be taken into account when deciding the winner later this month. Click the links below to retweet, repost, share, comment, and like the social media links below to help the Athlete Crush committee in making a decision on a winner.
