Segich Inks Professional Softball Deal With ASBA

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine softball alumna Arianna Segich signed as a free agent with the E1 Pro Ballers of the American Softball Association (ASBA) earlier this week, continuing her softball career in the professional ranks.

Segich, who completed her four-year college career at Brandywine this spring, played in her first professional game Tuesday night, stealing a base, while earning a start in center field.

A three-time all-American, Segich is Brandywine's all-time hits leader with 212 knocks from 2016-19. She stole 165 bases, also a program record, in 153 career games with the Lions, including 68 as a senior.

Segich was a .421 career hitter for Brandywine with 16 triples, 14 home runs and 92 runs batted in. In four seasons, she set nearly every offensive career record for the team, while earning four first team all-conference selections.

The ASBA is in the midst of its second year of operation and features four professional teams located in the suburbs of Mobile, Alabama.
