Brandywine Duo Claims PSUAC Women’s Soccer Weekly Honors

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine women's soccer seniors Brianna Banks (Philadelphia, Pa./Parkway Center) and Emily Bush (Bayville, N.J./Central Regional) were honored by the Penn State University Athletic Conference as Bush earned her second-straight PSUAC Goalkeeper of the Week award and Banks was tabbed as the PSUAC Player of the Week.

The duo combined to help Brandywine earn a 1-0 victory over Gwynedd Mercy on Saturday. Bush stopped all 13 shots she faced to produce her second shutout of the season. Banks scored the match's lone goal, giving her a goal in seven-straight games.

Banks also scored twice Wednesday at Widener, while Bush blocked eight shots during the match.

Banks, a three-time PSUAC Player of the Year, is the league's leading scorer by a wide margin this fall with 24 goals and 49 total points. Bush owns the conference lead with four wins and 85 saves and is tied for second with two shutouts.

Brandywine (4-7, 2-0 PSUAC) faces Penn State Hazleton Wednesday evening at 5:00 pm.
