Banks Claims Third USCAA Player Of The Week Selection

MEDIA, Pa. -- For the third time this fall and sixth time during her four-year career, Penn State Brandywine senior Brianna Banks (Philadelphia, Pa./Parkway Center) was tabbed as the national women's soccer player of the week by the United States Collegiate Athletic Association on Tuesday.

Banks had another big scoring week with 14 points in two games, both Brandywine victories, as the Lions clinched first place in the PSUAC.

On Wednesday, she tallied four goals in a road victory at Penn State Lehigh Valley and three days later, celebrated Senior Day with a two-goal, two assist performance. Banks has now scored in each of Brandywine's last 11 games, producing nine multi-goal games.

The USCAA leader in points and goals, Banks owns 34 goals and three assists in 15 matches this fall. For her career, she has recorded 113 goals, 23 assists and 249 total points.

Brandywine (8-7, 6-0 PSUAC) hosts Penn State Scranton Saturday night in a PSUAC Tournament semifinal match beginning at 7:30 pm at the West Chester United turf fields in West Chester.
