Brandywine Remains Unbeaten In PSUAC Volleyball
ALLENTOWN, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine volleyball team remained in sole possession of first place in the Penn State University Athletic Conference following a 3-0 (25-17, 25-9, 25-11) victory over Penn State Lehigh Valley on Sunday afternoon.
The victory pushed the Lions' record to 4-0 in conference play and 4-5 overall, while Lehigh Valley dropped to 1-4 in league play.
Hannah Sarafinas (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown West) and Jade Maloney (Claymont, Del./Brandywine) tied for the team lead with eight kills, while Nicolette Napoleon (Springfield, Pa./Penn Charter) and Lauren Kelly (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown East) both tallied seven.
Sullivan Stark (Middletown, Del./William Penn) dished out 20 assists and Julia Miles (Boothwyn, Pa./Chichester) added nine. The Lions produced 19 aces, including four each from Napoleon and Sydney Stevens (Wilmington, Del./Alexis I. DuPont).
On the defensive side, Becca Civera (Boothwyn, Pa./Chichester) led the way with 10 digs, while Stevens collected seven digs.
Brandywine heads to Dover Wednesday night for a 7:00 PM match at Wesley.
