Brandywine Handles York In Three Sets

YORK, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine volleyball team eased to a 3-0 (25-23, 25-10, 25-13) victory over Penn State York on Tuesday night.

Hannah Sarafinas (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown West) produced eight kills, while Hope Coacher (Ardmore, Pa./Haverford), Rikelle Taylor (Nottingham, Pa./Solanco) and Amanda Floyd (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) all tallied five.

Rebecca Gonzalez (Clearwater, Fla./Washburn Academy) aided the offense with 21 assists. Gianna Anthony (Newtown Square, Pa./Sacred Heart Academy) set down five aces and Alsatia Haas-Tome (Norwood, Pa./Interboro) added four aces.

Defensively, Anthony paced all players with 11 digs, while Brandi James (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) recorded 11 and Taylor notched four blocks.

Brandywine (5-7, 4-1 PSUAC) heads to State College for PSUAC Crossover Weekend beginning Saturday with a matchup against Penn State Fayette at 4:00 pm.
