Fisher Named Conference Player Of The Week

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pennsylvania -- Penn State Brandywine sophomore guard James Fisher Jr. (Philadelphia, Pa./Upper Darby) was selected as the Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week the league office announced on Tuesday.

Fisher averaged 24.0 points per game in three contests last week, including a career-high 33 points during a road game at Division III Neumann. Fisher drained 10-of-17 shots from the field, including seven three-pointers, while dishing out a game-best five assists.

Following his 33-point performance, Fisher netted 27 points in Brandywine's PSUAC opener against Penn State Lehigh Valley and added 12 points, all in the first half, versus Penn State Wilkes-Barre on Sunday.

Fisher has scored at least 21 points in four-of-five games this season and leads the team in scoring, averaging 22.8 ppg, the fourth-highest total in the league. He has also contributed 3.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.6 steals per game, while shooting 45.5 percent from the field and 44 percent from beyond the arc.

Brandywine is idle until December 6 when it visits Penn State Mont Alto at 3:00 pm.
