Brandywine Closes Fall Season At LVC Invitational

LEBANON, Pa. – The Penn State Brandywine golf team wrapped up its fall season Monday as the Lions finished 10th at the Lebanon Valley College Invitational at Lebanon Country Club.

Brandywine totaled 365 strokes, while playing in a 12-team field of NCAA Division III competition. Hood College claimed the team invitational championship with a team round of 318.

Alex Barone (Glenolden, Pa./Concord) was the low scorer for the Lions, carding an 83. He finished in a tie for 18th place in the field of 64 golfers.

Zak Karlton (Oxford, Pa./Oxford) took 34th after carding 88 strokes, while Ty Coccia (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) was two strokes behind Karlton in a tie for 40th place.

Matt Cavanaugh (Upper Darby, Pa./Bonner-Prendie) and Nathan Sauder (Pittsgrove, N.J./St. Augustine Prep) rounded out the Brandywine golfers. Both Lions completed their rounds in 104 strokes.

Marymount University's Jackson Newtown was the individual champion following his round of 76.
