Men’s Soccer Introduces 17-Member Recruiting Class

MEDIA, Pa. -- First-year head coach Tom Greenawalt will welcome 17 new members to the Penn State Brandywine men's soccer team as the defending United States Collegiate Athletic Association national champion Lions announced the class of 2023 recruits who will join the team this fall on Wednesday.

Brandywine claimed the campus' first-ever national championship last November, winning its final 16 games of the season. The Lions have also earned three-straight conference titles, going unbeaten in league play each of those seasons.

Below is a look at the 17 new members joining Brandywine in 2019:

Axel Ayllon
Kennett Square, Pa. | Kennett High School

Ayllon was a four-year member of the varsity soccer team at Kennett. As a senior, he was selected as a team captain and earned first team all-conference accolades.

Gavin Birch
Media, Pa. | Strath Haven High School

Birch was a four-year varsity player on the Strath Haven soccer team. A team captain, he was a two-time All-Delco honorable mention selection, while also claiming Central League honorable mention accolades.

Nathan Bowman
York, Pa. | York Suburban High School

Bowman earned four varsity letters at York Suburban High School. A three-year starter, he captained the squad for two seasons, while leading the team in goals and assists as a junior and senior. A former York County Athlete of the Week, Bowman played his club soccer at FC Ballyhoo.

Victor Fajardo
Bala Cynwyd, Pa. | Lower Merion High School

Fajardo played varsity lacrosse and football at Lower Merion High School. His brother Jason was a member of the men's soccer team at Brandywine from 2012-16.

Victor Flores
Kennett Square, Pa. | Kennett High School

A two-sport athlete, Flores competed for the varsity soccer and track and field teams at Kennett. He was named Most Improved Player on the team, which reached the state playoffs after finishing third in the district.

Juan Guerrero
Kennett Square, Pa. | Kennett High School

Guerrero was named to the All-Ches-Mont Conference Second Team as a junior and helped Kennett reach the state tournament during his sophomore season. He also received the Coach's Award during his four years on the team, while playing his club soccer for Delaware United and White Clay.

Alexander Lopez
Toughkenamon, Pa. | Kennett High School

Lopez received All-Southeast Pennsylvania State honors as a senior, while also landing first team all-conference and first team all-area selections. In addition, he was an honor roll student at Kennett High School.

Nate McCourt
West Chester, Pa. | Salesianum High School

McCourt received the most improved and hardest worker awards at Salesianum during his one season of varsity soccer. In addition to playing for Salesianum's undefeated soccer team and two years of soccer at the club level, McCourt won two Delaware State Championships as a member of the rugby team.

Liam Pheiffer
Bethlehem, Pa. | Freedom High School

Pheiffer completed in three years of varsity soccer at Freedom High School. An all-area defender, Pheiffer helped Freedom to conference and district championships in 2018. 

Nikola Radulovic
Bryn Mawr, Pa. | Harriton High School

Radulovic played two years of high school soccer and for local soccer clubs in Montenegro prior to arriving in the United States. At Harriton, he earned varsity letters in both soccer and swimming.

Vuk Radulovic
Bryn Mawr, Pa. | Harriton High School

Radulovic played soccer at nearby Harriton High School.

Zachary Ritz
Woodlyn, Pa. | Ridley High School

Ritz was a four-year member of the Ridley soccer team, earning three varsity letters. A two-time team MVP, he earned All-Delco honorable mention and All-Central League honorable mention twice as a goalkeeper.

Luke Segner
Cochranville, Pa. | Octorara High School

Segner completed four years of varsity soccer at Octorara High School, earning a pair of varsity letters.

Alexander Shaer
Wilmington, Del. | Concord High School

Shaer was a three-sport athlete at Concord High School. During his four years of soccer, he topped the team in assists twice. Shaer was also a member of Concord's first-ever undefeated swimming team, which won the Blue Hen Conference championship, and also played one year of football.

Abir Siddik
Claymont, Del. | Mount Pleasant High School

Siddik played soccer at Mount Pleasant for two years, earning a pair of varsity letters. He was twice selected as a scholar-athlete as a midfielder and forward.

Walton Tucker
Garnet Valley, Pa.| West Nairobi School (Kenya)

Before coming to the United States, Tucker played four years of varsity soccer at the West Nairobi School in Kenya. A two-year captain, he helped the Nairobi School to a second place finish in its league. During his high school and club playing days, he competed locally in Kenya and in international competition against opponents from around the world.

West Chester, Pa. | Unionville High School

Walter competed in two years of soccer at Unionville High School.
