Ayllon-Ortiz Named PSUAC Men’s Soccer Player Of The Week
MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine freshman Axel Ayllon-Ortiz (Kennett Square, Pa./Kennett) was selected as the Penn State University Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week on Wednesday.
Ayllon-Ortiz scored a pair of goals during a 2-0-1 week for the Lions. Both of his scores came on penalty kicks.
Wednesday against Gwynedd Mercy, Ayllon-Ortiz's goal tied the game midway through the second half, helping the Lions earn a road draw against the Griffins. Three days later, Ayllon-Ortiz recorded the lone goal of a 1-0 victory over Bryant & Stratton-Albany.
Ayllon-Ortiz's two goals and four total points leads the Lions, who are 2-1-1 entering Wednesday's road contest at Penn State Harrisburg (4:00 pm).
