Banks, Guerrero Receive Weekly Soccer Honors From PSUAC

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine senior Brianna Banks (Philadelphia, Pa./Parkway Center) was named Penn State University Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week, while freshman Juan Guerrero (Kennett Square, Pa./Kennett) was tabbed as the league's men's soccer goalkeeper of the week on Tuesday.

Banks scored three times against New Jersey City on Saturday, recording the 14th hat trick of her four-year career. Through five games this fall, Banks leads Brandywine and ranks second in the PSUAC with five goals.

She owns a career total of 84 goals in 50 matches, ranking fourth among active players at any level of women's soccer in goals, while accumulating 188 career points, the second-highest total among active collegiate women's soccer players.

Guerrero has made five starts in net for the Lions' men's soccer team, posting a 2-2-1 record. He was the winning goalkeeper Saturday as Brandywine ran its conference win streak to 36 games, making four stops on five chances in a 6-1 victory over Penn State New Kensington.

Guerrero also made six stops, a season high, at Penn State Harrisburg earlier in the week. He owns 19 saves along with a 2.09 goals-against average this fall.

Both Brandywine soccer teams are in action Tuesday night at Washington Adventist (women - 4:00 pm; men - 6:00 pm).
