TACOMA PARK, Md. -- The Penn State Brandywine men's soccer team suffered a 6-1 setback at the hands of Washington Adventist University on Wednesday night.
The Lions, who dropped to 3-3-1, fell behind 2-0 at the half and yielded four additional goals to the homestanding Shock during the final 45 minutes.
Axel Ayllon-Ortiz (Kennett Square, Pa./Kennett) provided the Lions' goal, cutting a 3-0 deficit to two at the 56:34 mark; however, the Shock answered 11 minutes later, upping the margin back to three.
WAU outshot Brandywine 20-7 and received five saves on six shots from goalkeeper Shawn McGuire. Juan Guerrero (Kennett Square, Pa./Kennett) blocked seven shots for Brandywine.
Brandywine is at home on Thursday to host Hood College at 5:00 pm.
