CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine men's soccer team won for the fifth-straight outing, blanking Wilson College 1-0 on Monday afternoon.
The Lions, who have posted a shutout during each of their five consecutive victories, received three saves from goalkeeper Juan Guerrero (Kennett Square, Pa./Kennett). Guerrero has recorded a clean sheet during each of his last three outings.
Brandywine, which shut out five consecutive opponents during its 16-match win streak to end its USCAA National Championship season in 2018, has never registered six-straight victories via shutout.
Brandywine tallied the only goal of the match during the 33rd minute off the foot of Nathan Bowman (York, Pa./York Suburban), his third goal of the season. Guerrero made the one-goal lead stand up for the remaining 57 minutes, including making two stops during the final five minutes of the second half.
The Lions held an 11-6 edge in the shot column and registered all 10 of the match's corner kicks. Both teams put three shots on goal.
Brandywine (8-4-1, 4-0 PSUAC) will be back on its home field Wednesday afternoon to host Penn State York at 4:00 pm.
