Former All-American Walleekendeh Signs Professional Soccer Contract

MEDIA, Pa. -- Former Penn State Brandywine men's soccer star Bill Walleekendeh inked a professional deal with the Harrisburg Heat of the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) recently.

The MASL is a 17-team league with teams based in the United States and Mexico, representing the highest level of indoor soccer worldwide.

From 2013-16, Wallekendeh starred for the Lions on the soccer field, earning two Penn State University Athletic Conference Player of the Year honors, while landing United States Collegiate Athletic Association All-American laurels during his final three seasons.

He set a single-season team record with 44 goals and 94 total points during his senior year, capping off a 72-match career that featured a school-record 109 goals, 27 assists and 245 total points.

Walleekendeh was a member of three PSUAC Championship-winning squads, including the 2016 season, in which he scored the game-winning goal of a 1-0 title match victory over Hazleton.

Walleekendeh graduated from Penn State in three-and-a-half years, earning a degree in psychology.

He expects to suit up for the first time in a Heat uniform in late January.
