Men's Soccer Signs Goalkeeper John Simpson
MEDIA, Pa. -- Goalkeeper John Simpson is the newest member of the Penn State Brandywine men's soccer class of 2024 after signing with the Lions recently.
Simpson, a four-year varsity soccer player at Franklin Towne Charter School in Philadelphia, was an all-state goalkeeper. Also an All-Southeast Pennsylvania selection, Simpson was named Northeast Times Public League Player of the Year and Public League Most Valuable Player.
A two-time All-Public League honoree, Simpson led Franklin Towne Charter to the Public League championship in 2018 and was a member of the only charter school to ever win a Public League soccer title.
Academically, Simpson was a three-time Honor Roll student.
Simpson chose to attend Penn State Brandywine because "I liked the location and it is an excellent school for business. I am really excited to play soccer and win a national championship!"
Head Coach Tom Greenawalt's incoming class of men's soccer student-athletes now includes Simpson, Joey Kane, Dylan Mhloyi, Kareem Sharaf and Alex Sydor.
