IMMACULATA, Pa. – Penn State Brandywine and Immaculata played to a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes of non-conference men's soccer action on Tuesday afternoon.
Playing its first road match of the fall, Brandywine struck first during the 31st minute. Following a Mighty Mac foul, Kyle Reuter (York, Pa./Dallastown Area) lofted a free kick into the box and found the foot of Ethan Simpson (Frederick, Md./Oakdale), who drove home his first collegiate goal.
Elijah DeBooth (Reading, Pa./Wilson), named PSUAC Goalkeeper of the Week earlier Tuesday, stopped four first-half shots as the Lions held their lead until the middle of the second period.
A foul in the box led to an Immaculata penalty kick, which Oldy Dielce converted into Immaculata's lone score of the day at the 68:45 mark.
Both goalkeepers needed to make one save during the final 20 minutes to preserve the 1-1 draw.
DeBooth stopped five shots overall as his record moved to 2-0-2. Each team totaled nine shots.
Brandywine (2-0-2) opens PSUAC play next Tuesday at Penn State York (4:00 PM).
