Brandywine Runs At Abington Invitational

ABINGTON, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine cross country teams raced at the Penn State Abington Invitational on Lorimer Park on Saturday morning.

Leading the way for the Lions was Christian Dzema (Allentown, Pa./Parkland), who placed 29th during the men's 8K race, which featured 99 compeitors. Dzema turned in a time of 32:07.8.

Jalin Haskins (Philadelphia, Pa.) also competed for the men's team, recording a time of 42:21.1, while Victoria Anyiam (Swarthmore, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) made her season debut for the women's team. Anyiam crossed the finish line in 36:16.8 during the 66-runner, 5K run.

Rachel Conhoff of Ursinus was the women's individual champion and the Bears claimed the team title. On the men's side, Paden Spencer was the individual medalist, while Ursinus earned the team championship.

Brandywine competes at Bryn Mawr's Dan Talbot Invitational next Saturday beginning at 10:30 am.
