Brandywine Competes At Dan Talbot Invitational

MEDIA, Pa. -- For the second time this fall, the Penn State Brandywine cross country teams competed at Rose Tree Park as the Lions ran in Bryn Mawr College's Dan Talbot Invitational on Saturday morning.

Victoria Anyiam (Swarthmore, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) represented the Brandywine women in the 6K, 46-runner race. She posted a time of 40:10. Hannah Kopec of the University of Valley Forge was the women's individual medalist with a time of 26:20.

On the men's side, Christian Dzema (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) paced the Lions by recording a 12th-place finish during the 8K run. In a field of 53 competitors, Dzema crossed the finish line in 32:47.

Jalin Haskins (Philadelphia, Pa.) ran to a time of 41:17, his top 8K mark of the season, besting his previous benchmark by 64 seconds.

The men's champion was Andrew Konieczny of Neumann University, who completed the course in 30:04.

Brandywine is idle until Oct. 16 when the Lions finish out the regular season in Maryland at the Hood College Invitational.
