Brandywine Closes Out Regular Season At Hood Invitational

FREDERICK, Md. -- The Penn State Brandywine cross country teams wrapped up the regular season Saturday afternoon at the Hood College Invitational.

Victoria Anyiam (Swarthmore, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) set a personal-best time in the women's 5K as she posted a time of 31:24, two minutes faster than her previous-top mark.

Jalin Haskins (Philadelphia, Pa.) also recorded a personal-best showing as he crossed the finish line in 40:23 during the men's 8K race.

Christian Dzema (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) ran to a time of 33:32 as he placed 87th in the 160-runner field.

David Butts of Hagerstown Community College won the men's race (26:12), while Franklin & Marshall's Alexis Salerno claimed indvidual medalist honors in the women's race (19:58).

Brandywine has two weeks to prepare for the PSUAC Championships on October 30 at Penn State Mont Alto.
