Mushinski Earns First PSUAC Hitter Of The Week Honor

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine's Kaylee Mushinski (Allentown, N.J./Allentown) was named Penn State University Athletic Conference Softball Hitter of the Week on Wednesday.

Mushinski has 10 hits, including four for extra bases, in 30 at-bats across nine games this spring. She drove in 11 runs during Brandywine's Spring Break trip to Florida and owns a team-high 13 RBI overall.

During the Lions' week in Florda, Mushinski went 3-for-4 with three RBI in a win against Northland and had a grand slam and five RBI one day later during Brandywine's 8-7 triumph over Emmanuel.

Mushinski, who was a USCAA First Team All-American and PSUAC Player of the Year as a freshman, is a career .407 hitter with 70 hits, 73 RBI and 43 runs scored.

Brandywine (7-3) opens conference play Friday, March 22 at Maple Zone against Penn State Scranton at 3:00 PM.
