Amanda Floyd Named PSUAC Player Of The Week

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine junior Amanda Floyd (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) was named Penn State University Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Wednesday.

Floyd was Brandywine's leading scorer in each of the Lions' first three games, helping Brandywine start 3-0 for the first time since 2007.

In four overall games this season, Floyd is averaging 19.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game. Floyd is shooting 41 percent from the field and 80 percent at the free throw stripe. She produced season highs of 25 points and eight rebounds in a season-opening win over Central Penn on Nov. 6, while collecting six steals against CCP one week later.

An honorable mention all-conference selection as a freshman, Floyd has scored 428 points through 32 career games.

Brandywine is at home Friday for a PSUAC matchup with Penn State New Kensington beginning at 6:00 PM.
