MEDIA, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine women's basketball team won its third-straight game, topping Penn State Hazleton 67-53 on its home floor Tuesday night.

The teams were tied at 40-all, but a 13-2 Brandywine run spanning the final 46 seconds of the third quarter and first 3:16 of the final period put the Lions in control of the game.

Hope Coacher's (Ardmore, Pa./Haverford) free throw broke the 40-40 tie, while Erin Michael (Brookhaven, Pa./Sun Valley) converted a three-point play to move the margin to four points. Sierra Diawara (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) opened the fourth quarter with a three-pointer and Michael added four points before Amelia Brooks (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) put a cap on the run with a jumper.

The Lions lead reached 15 points by the 4:15 mark as Anaiyah Allen (Lutz, Fla./Steinbrenner) buried a trio of triples in a span of 1:57. One minute later, Coacher's free throw gave Brandywine its biggest edge of the night at 17 points.

The teams played to a 14-14 draw through 10 minutes before the Lions moved in front by nine at halftime behind a 6-0 spurt to close the second. Allen knocked down four free throws, while Coacher sank two during the final two minutes.

Hazleton rallied to get within one on two occasions during the third quarter before drawing even with the Lions following a pair of made free throws at the 1:24 mark, but Brandywine made its late run to pull away.

Allen poured in 20 points and tallied six rebounds and three steals, while Coacher collected 10 points and six boards.

Cheyenne Rivas (Thorndale, Pa./Collegium Charter) posted nine points, while Amanda Floyd (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) produced eight points, nine rebounds and seven steals. Brooks and Michael both recorded seven points and six boards.

Brandywine knocked down 19-of-22 free throws and outrebounded Hazleton 41-33. The Lions' 17 offensive rebounds led to 20 second-chance points.
