Floyd Earns PSUAC And USCAA Player Of The Week Honors

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine senior Amanda Floyd (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) was named Women's Basketball Player of the Week by the United States Collegiate Athletic Association and the Penn State University Athletic Conference on Tuesday.

Floyd averaged 21.7 points on 47 percent shooting and 10.7 rebounds, while recording three double-doubles during a 2-1 week for Brandywine. The PSUAC Player of the Week award is the fifth of Floyd's career.

She started the week with an 18-point, 11-rebound effort in a 29-point victory over Penn State Scranton. Three days later, Floyd recorded the fifth 30-point game of her career, pouring in 31 points, along with a season-high 14 rebounds and two blocked shots. On Saturday, Floyd neared a triple-double, collecting 16 points, 10 steals and seven rebounds against Penn State DuBois.

Floyd leads Brandywine in scoring (15.6 points per game) and rebounding (7.4 rebounds per game) through seven games this season. The third-leading scorer in team history, Floyd has amassed 1,411 points in 91 career games.

Brandywine (3-4, 3-2 PSUAC) hosts Neumann for a non-conference matchup Wednesday at 7:00 PM.
