DUNMORE, Pa. – Penn State Brandywine continued its dominance of Penn State University Athletics Conference women's soccer with a 2-0 victory at Penn State Scranton during its conference opener Saturday afternoon.
Brandywine, which improved to 42-1-2 all-time against PSUAC opponents, is now unbeaten in 43-straight league matches dating back to its inaugural season in 2015.
The Lions produced their second consecutive shutout to begin the season as Kiiani Banks (Elizabeth, N.J./Elizabeth) stopped both shots she faced over 90 minutes in goal after blanking Valley Forge one week ago in the season opener.
Jolyn Walleekendeh (Boothwyn, Pa./Chichester) accounted for both Brandywine goals, upping her two-game total to six.
Walleekendeh tallied a goal during the 11th minute off a feed from Meltem Ozdemir (Carney's Point, N.J./St. Mark's) and added an insurance tally during the second half following a pass from Alyssa Hanrahan (Clifton Heights, Pa./Upper Darby).
Brandywine (2-0, 1-0 PSUAC) opens the home portion of its schedule Wednesday against Rosemont at 5:00 pm.
