Brandywine Falls 3-2 In Overtime

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine rallied from two goals down to force overtime, but Penn State Schuylkill scored during the 104th minute to claim a 3-2 Penn State University Athletic Conference women's soccer victory over the homestanding Lions on Wednesday.

Ariana Trautz got behind the Brandywine defense after a long lead pass and deposited her third goal of the day at the 103:27 mark to give the visitors the victory.

Jolyn Walleekendeh (Trainer, Pa./Chichester) netted a pair of second-half goals to help send the match to overtime.

Trailing 2-0, Walleekendeh got Brandywine on the board just 1:41 into the second period, scoring on a rebound after her initial shot was blocked. Just under 20 minutes later, the Lions found the equalizer from Walleekendeh off a feed from Olivia Esposito (Boothwyn, Pa./Chichester).

Following the game-tying score, Schuylkill put four more shots on net, including one during the first overtime session, but Brandywine goalkeeper Kiiani Banks (Elizabeth, N.J./Elizabeth) was up to the test each time to keep the score tied. Banks finished with 10 saves, four off her season high, while Kaely Walshaw made eight stops for Schuylkill.

Brandywine (3-5, 2-4 PSUAC) looks to bounce back Saturday when it hosts Penn State Beaver for Senior Dayat 3:00 pm.
