Brandywine Drops Match At Cedar Crest

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Penn State Brandywine women's tennis team was defeated 6-1 by Cedar Crest College on Friday afternoon.

Samma Zahran (Brookhaven, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) provided the lone point for the Lions by winning her top-flight singles match. Zahran cruised to a straight-set victory by identical 6-0 counts.

Zahran and Elizabeth Keeper (Bear, Del./Appoquinimink) teamed to win six points at No. 1 doubles, but dropped an 8-6 decision, while Madison Ferguson (Secane, Pa./Ridley) and Jessica Gore (Chaguanas, Trinidad and Tobago/Providence Catholic) fell 8-5 at No. 2 doubles.

Keeper also claimed 10 points during her second-flight singles match before falling 4-6, 6-7, while Ferguson won five points at No. 3 singles.

Brandywine is idle until April 11 when the Lions visit Immaculata at 4:00 PM.
