Jordan Thompson Signs With Brandywine Volleyball

MEDIA, Pa. -- Jordan Thompson has officially signed with the Penn State Brandywine volleyball team and will begin competing with the Lions this fall.

Thompson, who played four years of volleyball at Sun Valley High School, was a three-time all-conference award winner. She earned honorable mention all-conference as a sophomore and junior before landing on the All-Ches-Mont League Second Team during her final season. She was also selected as the team's most improved player as a junior.

Elected a team captain as a senior, Thompson led the Vanguards to four postseason bids, moving as far as the semifinal round at the district level in 2019.

On the club side, Thompson competed for Dynamic Volleyball Academy (DVA) for five years. She served as captain for two teams, while winning numerous tournament titles and received the Frank Garrett Award.

Thompson chose to attend Penn State Brandywine because "I knew I wanted to go to Penn State ever since I was little. Both of my cousins went to Penn State Brandywine and were baseball players and I wanted to be just like them. As I got older, I realized that going to Penn State Brandywine was something that I seriously wanted to consider. I always wanted to play volleyball in college and I knew Penn State Brandywine would give me that opportunity as well as the ability to study HDFS like I have always wanted to do."
