ALLENTOWN, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine volleyball team earned its second victory in the last seven days over Penn State Lehigh Valley and completed a season sweep of Lehigh Valley with a 3-1 (25-13, 22-25, 25-9, 25-19) triumph Wednesday night.
Brandywine defenders produced 13 blocks, led by Amanda Floyd's (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) six (three solo). Jordan Thompson (Aston, Pa./Sun Valley) collected three, while Laura de Jesus (Santo Domingo, D.R./New Horizons) and Anna Ramirez (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown East) both tallied two.
Thompson tallied a team-leading six kills and Ramirez added four. Floyd, de Jesus and Lexie Berry (Brookhaven, Pa./Daegu) all registered two kills. Ramirez and Suzie Alvarenga (Fullerton, Calif./Notre Dame Academy) tied for the team lead with four aces each. Alvarenga paced the Lions with seven digs.
Brandywine travels to Penn State Wilkes-Barre Monday at 7:00 pm.
