WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Penn State Brandywine volleyball team claimed a conference sweep, winning 3-0 (25-5, 25-18, 25-10) at Penn State Wilkes-Barre on Monday night.
Brandywine received five kills from Lexie Berry (Brookhaven, Pa./Daegu) and four by Anna Ramirez (Exton, Pa./Downingtown East). Madison Swenson (Chadds Ford, Pa./Kennett) produced 10 assists, while Aneesa Freeman (Chester, Pa./Chester Charter Scholars Academy) added six helpers.
The Lions collected 11 aces with three coming from both Sydney Stevens (Wilmington, Del./Alexis I. DuPont) and Leilu Campbell (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville).
Breanna McDermott (Havertown, Pa./Haverford) led the way with six digs and added two aces, while Campbell and Suzie Alvarenga (Fullerton, Calif./Notre Dame Academy) tallied three digs each.
Brandywine (5-2, 4-1 PSUAC) plays its next four matches at home beginning Wednesday against St. Mary's (Md.) at 7:00 pm.
