Swenson Earns Third Setter Of The Week Award

MEDIA, Pa. -- For the third time this fall, Penn State Brandywine senior Madison Swenson (Chadds Ford, Pa./Kennett) has been selected as the setter of the week by the United States Collegiate Athletic Association.

Swenson tallied 78 assists in four matches last week, averaging 4.9 per set. She collected 29 in a win over Penn State York on Wednesday and added 31 helpers, her fourth 30-assist match of the year, against Penn State Mont Alto on Sunday.

Swenson also reached double figures in digs twice, posting 15 against York and a season-best 22 versus Mont Alto. Overall, she collected 52 digs, while adding three blocks and one kill.

In 15 matches this fall, Swenson ranks fourth in the USCAA with 319 assists and is averaging 6.25 assists per set. Her 135 digs are the second-highest total on the team.

Brandywine (9-6, 8-1 PSUAC) visits Manor College on Tuesday at 6:00 pm.
