Anna Ramirez Named PSUAC Volleyball Player Of The Week

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine sophomore Anna Ramirez (Exton, Pa./Downingtown East) was selected as the Penn State University Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 12-18 on Wednesday.

Ramirez produced her first two double-figure dig outputs of the season and totaled 15 kills during a 1-1 week for the Lions.

On Tuesday, she coupled seven kills and a season-high 18 digs, along with two aces, as Brandywine swept Penn State Schuylkill. Four days later, Ramirez tallied eight kills and 11 digs at Penn State York.

Ramirez owns a team-high 50 kills, averaging 2.5 per set during six matches this fall. She is tied for second on the team with 53 digs, while adding seven aces.

Brandywine (2-4, 1-1 PSUAC) hosts Penn State Lehigh Valley Wednesday night at 7:00 PM.
