Anna Ramirez Named First Team All-PSUAC

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine junior Anna Ramirez (Exton, Pa./Downingtown East) was named First Team All-Penn State University Athletic Conference as the league's end-of-year volleyball awards were announced on Monday.

Ramirez is now a two-time First Team All-PSUAC selection after earning the honor for the second consecutive year.

In 19 matches this fall, Ramirez produced a team-high 176 kills, the third-straight season she has topped the team in that category. Ramirez ranked third among PSUAC East Division players in kills, while averaging 2.79 kills per set. She recorded a season-high 17 kills in a four-set victory over Rosemont in September, one of nine double-figure kill efforts this fall.

Ramirez also set a season best with 21 digs against Rosemont. She totaled 177 digs overall, good for third on the team. She added 23 aces and five blocks.

In addition, Lexie Berry (Brookhaven, Pa./Daegu) received the conference's John Fritz Sportsmanship Award. Named after former PSUAC Commissioner John Fritz, the sportsmanship award is given to one player from each team in the league who best displays the core values of the league and sportsmanship to teammates and opponents throughout the season. Berry played in all 20 matches, finishing in a tie for the team lead with 34 blocks, while ranking third with 78 kills.

Brandywine closed out its 2023 season with a record of 12-8.
