SCRANTON, Pennsylvania -- Goalkeeper Will Scott-Norris (Wilmington, Del./Mt. Pleasant) posted a shutout and Bill Walleekendeh (Chester, Pa./Chester) scored twice as the Penn State Brandywine men's soccer team blanked Penn State Scranton 4-0 Thursday afternoon.
Scott-Norris reigstered his first career shutout, lifting Brandywine's conference mark to 2-1, as he made five stops while spending all 90 minutes in goal.
Pat Lutes (Drexel Hill, Pa./Monsignor Bonner) broke a scoreless tie during the 24th minute, depositing his first goal of the season.
Walleekendeh tacked on two more goals during the opening 45 minutes, including a penalty kick that came just 12 seconds before the halftime whistle. He added an assist on Robera Balcha's (Upper Darby, Pa./Upper Darby) 89th-minute tally for a five-point day.
Brandywine outshot Scranton 19-11 to remain one-of-four PSUAC squads with one loss in conference play. The Lions face Hazleton, which owns a 5-1 record against league competition, on Sunday at 10:30 am at Penncrest High School. The game, originally scheduled for Saturday, has been moved because of rain.
