Men’s Tennis Opens Season With Victory Over Immaculata
MEDIA, Pennsylvania -- The Penn State Brandywine men's tennis team opened the 2015 spring season with a 6-3 road victory over Immaculata on Thursday afternoon.
Chris Shannon (Chester Springs, Pa./Great Valley), Max Reichert (Wayne, Pa./Radnor), Tung Hoang (Upper Darby, Pa./Upper Darby) and Ban Luu (Broomall, Pa.) all won their singles matches in straight sets as Brandywine claimed four-of-six contests.
Shannon and Reichert teamed to win their top-flight doubles competition, while Hung and Kevin Ho (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) defeated John Binner and Will DeSantis 9-8 in doubles play.
Brandywine begins the home portion of its schedule Tuesday against Lancaster Bible at 3:30 PM.
