Ben Johnson Named PSUAC Runner Of The Week

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine freshman Ben Johnson (Ardmore, Pa./Harriton) was selected as the Penn State University Athletic Conference Runner of the Week after winning the Penn State Scranton Invitational on Saturday.

Johnson topped the 16-man field with a time of 21:44 during the 5K race. His mark was two seconds faster than teammate John Bazaar, who was the runner-up.

Johnson helped Brandywine finish second as a team after the Lions compiled 39 total points.

The top-five finish was the second of the spring for Johnson, who ran to fourth at Brandywine's home invitational one week earlier. He posted a time of 21:17 on the Lions' home course.
