Floyd Receives Second Player Of The Week Award

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine senior Amanda Floyd (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) was selected as the Penn State University Athletic Conference and United States Collegiate Athletic Association Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the second time this season and sixth time in her career on Tuesday.

Floyd shot 43 percent from the field, while averaging 20.5 points and 12.5 rebounds per game during a 2-0 week for Brandywine.

She knocked down four three-pointers en route to scoring 24 points in 28 minutes against Central Penn last Monday. Five days later, Floyd poured in 17 points and matched her career high by grabbing 16 rebounds during the Lions 23-point victory at Penn State Wilkes-Barre. The double-double was Floyd's sixth in 19 games this season.

Brandywine's leading scorer at 15.5 points per game, Floyd ranks eighth in the PSUAC in scoring. She is also sixth in the league with 52 steals, while grabbing 6.8 rebounds per outing. For her career, Floyd ranks second on Brandywine's all-time scoring list with 1,597 points during 103 games.

Brandywine (10-9, 8-5 PSUAC) travels to Penn State Scranton on Wednesday for an 8:00 PM game.
