Brandywine Sweeps PSUAC Volleyball Awards

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine earned a pair of weekly volleyball awards from the Penn State University Athletic Conference as Sydney Stevens (Wilmington, Del./Alexis I. DuPont) was named Specialist of the Week and Sydney Terrell (Walkersville, Md./St. John's Catholic Prep) was selected as the Player of the Week on Tuesday.

Stevens set down 16 aces over four matches last week, crossing the 200-ace mark for her career. She posted five in a sweep of Bryn Athyn and added eight more two days later as the Lions swept Penn State Schuylkill. Stevens also tallied a season-best 22 digs during the victory over Bryn Athyn.

Stevens ranks second in the PSUAC with 30 aces and is averaging 5.0 aces per match this fall. She has also tallied 55 digs.

Terrell filled the stat sheet with a strong all-around week, accounting for 19 kills, 40 assists, 10 aces and 37 digs in four matches. She produced the first double-figure kill total of her career against Penn State Hazleton, tallying 12, and added a season-high 14 digs. Terrell reached double figures in digs three times, while also handing out 20 assists against Bryn Athyn to match a season-best total.

Terrell is one off the team lead with 61 assists, while ranking second on the team in aces (11) and fourth in both digs (47) and kills (20).

Brandywine (4-2, 3-0 PSUAC) travels to Rosemont on Wednesday for a 7:00 PM match.
