Abdelhady Named PSUAC Men’s Soccer Player Of The Week
MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine's Ali Abdelhady (Dubai, UAE/Nord Anglia International School) was named Penn State University Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week on Tuesday.
Abdelhady scored a goal in all three matches, helping Brandywine to a 2-0-1 week.
On Wednesday against Penn State York, Abdelhady netted the first three goals of his collegiate career during a 12-0 Lions' victory. Three days later, Abdelhady helped Brandywine rally by scoring the game-tying goal late in regulation as Brandywine forced a 2-2 draw at Penn State New Kensington.
Abdelhady finished his week with a goal as Brandywine topped Bryant & Stratton-Rochester 2-0 on Sunday afternoon.
Abdelhady has appeared in all eight games, starting three. He ranks second on the team with five goals and 11 total points.
Brandywine (6-3-2, 2-0-1 PSUAC) hosts Gallaudet Wednesday at 4:00 PM.
