Li, Mueller Pace Brandywine At Home Meet

MEDIA, Pennsylvania -- Freshman John Li (Upper Darby, Pa./Upper Darby) and sophomore Annie Mueller (Lincoln University, Pa./Homeschooled) both posted 12th-place finishes to lead the Penn State Brandywine cross country teams at their home invitational on Saturday afternoon.

Li topped four Brandywine runners by completing the 8K course in a time of 33:00, placing third among PSUAC competitors.

Alex Rivera-Santiago (New Castle, Del./Delcastle) finished the 87-runner men's race in a time of 36:09, good for 29th, and just in front of teammates Sam Houlette (Chester Springs, Pa./Salesianum) and Kason Laventure (Lansdowne, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara). Laventure placed 32nd (36:38), while Houlette was 33rd in a time of 36:41.

Mueller was the fourth PSUAC woman to finish the 53-runner women's race with a time of 25:08.

Freshman Amanda Isenberger and junior Kristen Hall (Malvern, Pa./Great Valley) placed 32nd and 33rd, respectively. Isenberger's time on the 5K course was 28:48, while Hall finished two seconds later.

Brandywine will race at the Penn State Wilkes Barre Invitational next Saturday beginning at 1:00 pm.
