Brandywine Wins Fifth PSUAC Chancellors’ Cup

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine captured its fifth Penn State University Athletic Conference Chancellors' Cup as the top athletic department in the conference during the 2020-21 academic year the league office announced on Wednesday.

Since 2008-09, the PSUAC Chancellors' Cup has annually been awarded to the campus which performs the best across the board in the league's 10 sponsored sports. Points are awarded based on championship finish and final standing in each sport. Due to the pandemic, points were awarded in three sports this year: baseball, softball and golf.

Brandywine produced 23 total points to claim the top spot for the fifth time in the Cup's 13-year history, matching Penn College for the most Cups all-time. Brandywine has finished in the top-two of the award's final standings in 11-straight years.

The Lions' softball team, which earned its sixth-straight PSUAC Championship, posted 10 points, while baseball finished third at the conference tournament to earn nine points. The Brandywine golf team's runner-up finish at the PSUAC Championship earned the department four points.

Penn State DuBois recorded 22 points to place second, while Penn State Mont Alto was third with 20 points.
