Forty-Two Fall Student-Athletes Receive PSUAC All-Academic Recognition
MEDIA, Pa. -- Forty-two Penn State Brandywine fall student-athletes were honored by the Penn State University Athletic Conference on the league's All-Academic Team following the conclusion of the 2021 fall semester recently.
To earn a place on the PSUAC All-Academic Team, student-athletes must amass a minimum GPA of 3.0 during their semester of competition or own a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater and be at least a sophomore in both their academic and athletic standing.
Brandywine's 42 honorees represent nearly 60 percent of the student-athletes who participated on the Lions' six teams this fall.
All six members of the golf team earned laurels, while 12 of the 17 members of the volleyball team claimed all-academic awards.
The USCAA national championship-winning men's soccer team led all squads with 14 student-athletes honored. Brandywine women's soccer placed six members on the all-academic team, while four cross country student-athletes landed accolades.
Four of the six teams (men's and women's cross country, golf, volleyball) posted a cumulative grade-point average above a 3.0, paced by the men's cross country team with a GPA of 3.48.
Fifteen fall student-athletes earned Dean's List recognition from the University after amassing a GPA of 3.50 or greater. McKenna Loney (women's cross country), Breanna McDermott (volleyball), Hannah Mummert (women's cross country) and Liam Pheiffer (men's soccer) all produced a perfect 4.0 GPA.
