Brandywine Places 49 Student-Athletes On PSUAC All-Academic Team
MEDIA, Pa. -- A total of 49 Penn State Brandywine winter and spring student-athletes were named to the Penn State University Athletic Conference All-Academic Team following the conclusion of the spring semester.
To earn a place on the PSUAC All-Academic Team, student-athletes must amass a minimum GPA of 3.0 during their semester of competition or own a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater and be at least a sophomore in both their academic and athletic standing.
All eight members of the men's tennis team received the award. During the semester, the men's tennis squad posted the highest cumulative GPA of any team at 3.75.
Brandywine baseball produced 16 honorees, while nine members of the national championship-winning softball squad earned the award. Eighty percent of the 10-member women's basketball team was named all-academic and men's basketball collected seven awards.
In addition to claiming PSUAC All-Academic Team laurels, 24 winter and spring student-athletes received Dean's List recognition from the University after compiling a spring semester GPA of 3.50 or higher.
Brandywine's 49 honorees represented nearly 60 percent of its winter and spring student-athletes. Overall during the 2022-23 academic year, 81 Brandywine student-athletes were named to the PSUAC All-Academic Team.
