Twelve Fall Student-Athletes Named To USCAA National Academic Team

MEDIA, Pa. -- Twelve Penn State Brandywine student-athletes representing six teams earned Fall National Academic Team Awards from the United States Collegiate Athletic Association at the conclusion of the fall sports season.

The USCAA National Academic Team is awarded to student-athletes who have accumulated a minimum GPA of 3.50 entering the fall semester and reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at their institution.

Women's soccer led the way with four honorees: Sierra Coleman (Folcroft, Pa./Academy Park), Roberta Gonzalez (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East), Caitlin Kaiser (Hackettstown, N.J./Hackettstown) and Rose Rowe (Nottingham, Pa./Oxford).

The tennis teams had three student-athletes selected as Jessica Gore (Chaguanas, Trinidad & Tobago/Providence Catholic), Jordan Polillo (Prospect Park, Pa./Ridley) and Aggam Khurana (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) earned awards, while two members of the cross country and men's soccer teams received laurels. From cross country, Meghan Ferry (Gloucester City, N.J./Gloucester City) and Jenaya Smith (Cohoes, N.Y./Cohoes) collected honors, while Harry Angelis (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Carroll) and Kyle Reuter (York, Pa./Dallastown Area) represented the men's soccer team.

Amanda Floyd (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) recorded volleyball academic honors.

Floyd, Kaiser and Reuter all earned the third USCAA National Academic Team award of their respecitive careers and Coleman garnered the honor for the second-straight year. Kaiser and Reuter were also USCAA All-American soccer players, while Smith was a USCAA Cross Country National Championship qualifier this fall.
