The 2013 Brandywine Baseball season is underway!

The 2013 Brandywine Baseball season is underway! The team, under new head coach Billy Haines, traveled down to Vera Beach, Florida for spring training March 1-8, 2013. Brandywine took their first swings of 2013 against tough competition on March 2 against DII University of Mary. Though losing 7-0 Brandywine warmed the bats with hits from sophomores Jimmy Quinn (Garnet Valley) and Mario Dioguardi (Marple Newtown) as well as one from senior captain, Matt DeBarberie (Monsignor Bonner).

Game two against Rochester College showed more rough competition and vast improvement from the Brandywine Lions. Though losing 6-2 Brandywine had two hits from freshman Tom Osenbach (West Chester Christian) and RBI's from sophomores Jimmy Quinn and Jim Murphy (Monsignor Bonner). Runs were scored by freshman Dan McMenamin (Springfield) and senior Matt DeBarberie.

The Brandywine Lions look to game three and four on March 5 against Rochester JV (9 AM) and Quebec Baseball Academy at 4 PM.
